Make your work easier with concept maps
Conceptual maps or mindmaps are a great way to organize ideas and improve workflow when you're involved in a complex task or a team project.
With Cayra you can now create those concept maps in a very clear, well-structured way. Unlike other expensive mindmapping utilities, Cayra is an open-source tool that won't cost you a cent: on the downside, this means that it's not as complete as other similar apps. Nevertheless, the program includes all the tools and functions you need to create conceptual maps with nodes, links and categories, all with different colors and very attractive animation effects.
Maps can be saved in the program's proprietary format, which you can then open and browse with Cayra itself, or as images (JPG and BMP) which you can open with any third-party image viewer.
In spite of being a little basic when compared to other more complete mindmapping tools, Cayra is still a great tool to create your own conceptual maps and improve your work organization and productivity.

Absolutely Great!.
Better than iMindmap because items can better be combined in categories and moved about. Very easy to use and user/friendly. Absolutely needs a MAC version and preferably a way to put it into a demo e.q. powerpoint or any better presenter. More

It would be good if it didn't crash all the time..
Using the latest .NET 3.5 fully up to date with all the Microsoft fixes on both a laptop running Windows XP 32 bit and on a desktop machine running Windows 7, 64 bit Cayra simply crashes when started. If I downgrade the .NET platform to 3.0 then it runs unreliably. This could have been very good software, if only it was reliable.During the two periods of about 5 minutes when I did get it running it showed itself to be potentially extremely good. It has some new and innovative concepts and would be very usefull if only it didn't crash.
Pros:
No central node!
Map centres itself on the node you have selected.
Very colourful and expressive display.
Cons:
Crashes all the time. More

I Think Too Fast.
Very Very easy to use, quick to learn simplistic and easy to organize.
For someone like me, Who owns a website and graphic design company, is a musician, a blogger, a college student and a fiance thoughts and stuff get really mixed up in my head.
I use this program to organize my website projects especially (I have it open at design consultations with clients) and write down my thoughts while I am having the meetings.
Great Design too!
Pros:
Simplistic and Attractive Design
Color Coded Organization
Not Overly Complex (Drag and Drop Methodology)
Fast, Small Installation
Lovely Options for Categorization, Visual and Textual
Remembers previously typed input and offers Auto-Complete Cons:
Sometimes it slows down and lags when project webs get bigger
Lacks ability to attach files and email messages to nodes
Lacks ability to sync with contacts and calendars
Note Area in Node Properties needs more formatting options like anchor links
